Role summary
The Senior Legal Counsel is a business oriented partner to Sales, GTM, Product, Security, and Finance, responsible for leading complex commercial negotiations, maintaining scalable templates and processes, advising on regulatory and risk matters, and enabling predictable, compliant revenue while protecting the company’s interests.
Key responsibilities
• Lead end to end drafting, review, and negotiation of enterprise SaaS agreements including MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs, and security addend for global customers and partners.
• Prioritize and close high impact, time sensitive deals in quarter while managing a broader portfolio of in flight transactions across regions.
. • Assist with review of procurement contracts globally
• Partner with Sales and Sales Engineering leadership to scope terms, set negotiation strategy, and use leverage to drive efficient outcomes.
• Allocate and coordinate matters across the legal team, ensuring clear handoffs, coverage by region, and continuity when ownership changes.
• Manage high volume, quick turn work streams including MNDAs, marketing reviews, and standard order forms to keep pipelines unblocked.
• Maintain and evolve the legal templates library including frameworks, SLAs, and playbooks, and ensure the latest versions are organized and accessible.
• Provide practical guidance on regulatory and industry requirements relevant to identity, security, and fraud prevention
• Build strong cross functional relationships with Product, Security, and Engineering to align contractual commitments with capabilities, roadmaps, and risk posture.
Qualifications
• JD or equivalent law degree and active bar membership in good standing.
• 5 or more years of commercial technology transactions experience with a focus on SaaS, cybersecurity, fintech, or enterprise software.
• Demonstrated record negotiating complex, multi stakeholder agreements with global enterprises and regulated financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of global data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA)
• Excellent judgment, business acumen, and the ability to translate risk into options and recommendations.
• Organized and proactive with experience managing a high volume portfolio and driving matters to closure under time pressure.
• Clear, concise communicator who builds trust and partners effectively across functions and time zones.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
The OTE salary range for this position is $170,000 - $200,000.
