Legal Contracting Network (LCN) is a new, cutting-edge Legal group located in Asia, Europe and the US, bringing together the responsibilities and management of contracting. It will deliver effective and efficient legal support for contracting that is simplified and consistent. By joining our dedicated team of lawyers, paralegals and contracting specialists, you will become part of a world-class contracting support function at our new Global Capabilities Centre in Bengaluru, India. As a member of the LCN Asia Team, you will be accountable for providing quality contracting and related advisory support on a global basis for various GSK stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
Providing quality contracting and related advisory support autonomously to the business. This includes providing analysis, drafting and counsel on high-risk transactions, including any related legal, policy, regulatory and compliance issues, integrating legal knowledge with sound business understanding.
This role requires an independent and a broad-based provision of legal support and expertise in global R&D pharmaceutical and global health transactions including but not limited to variety of complex, and bespoke contracts drafting, review, negotiation, (CRO collaborations, Global Medical agreements, R&D collaborations, supported collaborative studies, patient engagement, interventional & non-interventional studies, etc.) and related advisory amongst others as may be required.
Incumbent is expected to foresee any legal risk associated with the pharma commercial contracts being supported and mitigate the same by taking appropriate measures including but not limited to referring to internal guidance and adopting to pragmatic approach.
Conduct research on various legal issues. Collaborate with and provide counsel to numerous relevant R&D procurement and global health stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including global R&D/GPS/CPO Legal
Review and interpret new or pending legislation and regulations impacting contracting to ensure compliance and share knowledge with the rest of the team.
Familiarity with relevant GSK policies and SOP’s and timely completing the mandatory trainings required for the role.
Being aware of departmental guidance on best practices, processes, templates, clauses and playbooks.
This role requires a broad-based provision of legal support and expertise in worldwide pharma commercial transactions.
Collaborate with and provide counsel to numerous relevant stakeholders including interactions with senior leaders in the R&D procurement organization.
Understand legal and financial risks and implications of R&D pharmaceutical and global health contracts.
Communicates directly with business clients and participate in general business meetings, teams and pharma commercial projects as required to provide timely, effective legal advice.

Qualified lawyer with minimum 10+ years’ experience in a law firm and/or in-house, including relevant experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements globally.
Ability to navigate matrix culture and collaborate across diverse teams.
