The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Lean Practitioner to join the Interior Responsibility Center (IRC) team in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift!
You will have the chance to spearhead problem-solving initiatives, drive the implementation of Lean concepts, and impact the manufacturing of billions of dollars worth of commercial aircraft at Boeing. Primary Responsibilities:
Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles.
Develop and update instructional materials. Creates enhancements to existing improvement tools.
Mentor future instructors and less experienced practitioners.
Lead and facilitate complex process improvement efforts.
Effectively develop plans using data collection and analysis.
Demonstrate the use of information gathering techniques and analysis.
Obtain information, identify key issues and relationships relevant to achieving a long-range goal or vision.
Demonstrates a commitment to the mission and motivation to combine the team’s energy and expertise to achieve a common objective.
Lead advanced continuous improvement tool application.
Supports the development and deployment of new tools.
Develop strategy development.
Knowledge and ability in examining operations and procedures, formulating policies, and developing and implementing lean strategies and procedures.
Comfortable working directly with Senior Managers and First Line Leaders and contribute to Director level strategies.
Discover new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking.
Try different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities.
Leads process improvement activities from problem definition through implementation.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
3+ years of experience implementing lean principles
3+ years of experience leading or facilitating continuous improvement/lean principles workshops
3+ years of experience leading teams through implementing process improvements and standardized processes
3+ years of experience driving forward business transformation initiatives
3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Bachelor degree in engineering discipline
5+ years of related work experience
Experience driving business transformation and/or lean adoption in a manufacturing environment
Lean Six Sigma Certification
Experience applying Agile and Lean Product Development principles
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
