Monks is looking for a Lead Visual QA to join our growing Quality Assurance team supporting one of the biggest clients in the world. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee testing operations for large-scale digital programs, ensuring that every asset, campaign, and product meets the highest visual and functional standards.

This position requires a strong balance of hands-on testing expertise, technical leadership, and team mentorship. You’ll guide QA strategies, manage resources, and act as the go-to expert for complex testing processes and client-facing discussions.

Role

As a Lead Visual QA, you’ll be responsible for defining, implementing, and evolving the testing strategy across multiple projects and markets. You’ll collaborate with design, development, and project management teams to ensure testing processes are efficient, thorough, and aligned with client expectations.

You’ll also play a crucial role in mentoring regional QA team members, driving quality standards, and promoting a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement. Working closely with other regional leaders, you’ll help keep documentation, device matrices, and testing infrastructure up to date to support operational excellence across the global QA network.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee QA efforts across multiple projects, ensuring consistent testing coverage and delivery quality.
  • Define and implement testing strategies using design and production tools to maintain pixel-perfect visual output.
  • Review and improve QA procedures, ensuring they are effective in identifying, reporting, and resolving defects.
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for stakeholders and clients, providing recommendations and insights on testing approaches, tools, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and producers to plan, prioritize, and allocate QA resources effectively.
  • Develop and improve bug management processes, ensuring they are efficient and scalable.
  • Communicate issues clearly with stakeholders, manage expectations, and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead and coordinate QA operations, assigning tasks, setting goals, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Design and implement documentation and training strategies for QA teams.
  • Actively mentor and coach junior and mid-level QA analysts; lead training sessions to upskill the team.
  • Participate in the hiring process, from candidate assessment to interview evaluation.
  • Collaborate with regional leads to maintain and update the device matrix, ensuring proper hardware and software coverage.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, tools, and testing methodologies that improve efficiency and quality.
  • Encourage a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the team.
  • Model effective communication, integrity, and collaboration — fostering trust and alignment across teams and disciplines.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Testing, with at least 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role within creative production, digital advertising, or post-production.
  • Deep understanding of visual QA processes, testing methodologies, and digital production pipelines.
  • Proven experience customizing and configuring Jira or similar tools to optimize workflow and reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Sketch.
  • Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud, Frame.io, Media Info, and other creative QA tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and improve testing strategies for design and content-heavy projects.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, assign resources, and set priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong mentoring skills — proven success in training, developing, and leading cross-level QA teams.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
  • Fluent in English (required)
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while maintaining close collaboration with global peers.
