Job Summary
The Xfinity App Strategy team plays a pivotal role in shaping how millions of customers experience and interact with our products and services. As a Lead Designer, UX Strategy, you’ll define, evolve, and deliver the design frameworks and experience architecture that guide our app ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of App Strategy, you’ll operate as a senior individual contributor, driving strategic design direction and shaping the user experience through strong UX strategy, IA, and systems thinking.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners across product, design, and engineering to create scalable frameworks, design principles, and interaction patterns that bring clarity and cohesion to complex digital experiences. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving strategic UX challenges, influencing design outcomes, and setting the foundation for a unified, customer-centered app experience.
About the team
The GD Connected Experiences team is responsible for the Xfinity app, the centerpiece of the Xfinity eco-system and the primary way to communicate and build a relationship with our customers. We are distributed between Philadelphia (HQ) and London with a mix of remote employees. We foster a collaborative and pro-active community, focused on growing together to do the best work of our careers here and now.

We expand beyond the phone to showcase our ‘better together’ services, including but not limited to: Internet, Mobile, Entertainment, Sports, and Smart Home.
Core Responsibilities
Define and evolve UX strategy, information architecture, and experience frameworks for the Xfinity App.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and design peers to align experience goals with business and customer objectives.
Develop and document user flows, structural frameworks, and experience models that guide app design at scale.
Act as a subject matter expert in UX systems thinking, ensuring cross-functional alignment and consistency.
Facilitate design workshops, critiques, and strategy sessions to drive clarity and shared understanding.
Partner with research and analytics teams to translate insights into strategic design direction.
Advocate for simplicity, usability, and a cohesive design system across the app ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
Extensive experience in UX Strategy, Interaction Design, and Information Architecture within large-scale digital products or mobile ecosystems.
Proven ability to translate complex business and technical challenges into clear, intuitive design solutions.
Strong understanding of design systems, user flows, and frameworks for scalable digital experiences.
Proficiency in Figma, Miro, and other collaborative design tools.
Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to influence cross-functional stakeholders and articulate design intent clearly.
Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams in agile environments.
