Lead Supply Chain Analyst

This position leads the strategic planning and advanced analytics agenda for Thailand. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the Operations Manager, providing the data models, strategic insights, and process improvement leadership required to optimize the end-to-end supply chain. This role will focus on leading the IBP/S&OE planning cycle, advanced kit & consignment analytics, transportation optimization, and inventory strategy (E&O/Expiry control), and will support the Operations Manager in 3PL/4PL management to meet cost, productivity, and timeliness targets.

Essential duties & responsibilities: 

Time Allocation (guide)

·       Strategic Planning (IBP/S&OE, Inbound & Regional E&O): 50%

·       Data & Analytics (Strategy & Direction): 20%

·       Process Improvement & Project Leadership: 20%

·       Transportation & 3PL Analytical Support: 10%

1) Strategic Planning & IBP/S&OE

·       Lead and own the Supply Planning view for the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) / S&OE cycle.

·       Develop and govern strategic supply parameters (Safety Stock, Lead Times, ABC/XYZ) and inventory targets.

·       Manage product allocation strategies and scenario planning for supply constraints.

 

2) Analytics & Insights

·       Lead the development of advanced models/dashboards (Excel/Power BI) for Cost Saving, Inventory Projection, E&O/expiry-at-risk.

·       Direct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on performance deviations; translate insights into strategic actions for execution by the Operations team.

·       Own the data integrity and automation roadmap for supply chain reporting.

 

3) Process Improvement & Project Leadership

·       Lead / Co-Lead strategic Continuous Improvement projects.

·       Partner with the Operations Manager to co-design and map 'to-be' processes (e.g., order-to-ship, POD/returns, UDI/lot).

·       Partner with IT to deploy systems and tool strategies to simplify & automate processes.

 

4) 3PL/4PL Management SUPPORT

·       Serve as the analytical lead in 3PL/4PL reviews, providing performance data, insights, and improvement recommendations in support of the Operations Manager

·       Analyze and recommend transportation optimizations (e.g., duplicate trips, Share Fleet) for the Operations Manager to implement.

 

5) Kit & Consignment STRATEGY

·       Lead the analytical aspect of kit management: Analyze composition, rotation, and utilization; recommend redeployment/rebalancing.

·       Evaluate consignment locations (turns, expiry risk); propose add/move/right-size and quantify impact.

6) Inventory Strategy & E&O/Expiry Management

·       Lead the strategic analysis and tracking of availability, DOH/turns, expiry-at-risk, SLOB/NPI ramp.

·       Develop and recommend mitigation strategies (e.g., redeployment scenarios, consignment conversion targets) to the Operations Manager for execution.

·       Own the analytical visibility and control frameworks at the UDI/lot/expiry level (e.g., build the alerts, dashboards, and reports).

·       Decision rights: Develop and approve mitigation strategies/targets; escalate major E&O risks to leadership."

 

7) Inbound Supply Planning & Regional Inventory Management

·       Serve as the primary strategic liaison (single point of contact) between the Thailand Commercial team and global/regional Manufacturing & Supply Planning teams.

·       Lead and govern the inbound supply plan; manage communications and decisions on shipment timing (e.g., from the US) to align local sales demand and IBP forecasts.

·       Proactively analyze regional inventory levels (stock across countries) to identify E&O risks and opportunities.

·       Develop and execute regional inventory balancing strategies (e.g., inter-country transfers) to reduce overall E&O risk for the region.

·       Decision Rights: Own the consolidated inbound supply plan for Thailand; approve recommendations for regional inventory movements.

Education & Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain or quantitative fields. 

  • At least 5-7 years’ relevant experience in supply planning, procurement & inventory management 

  • Proficiency in Excel (including macros and VBA is a plus) and strong understanding data analytic tools like Power BI is a plus.

  • Automation: Experience creating production‑use Power Automate flows (or equivalent) for alerts, approvals, and scheduled data refreshes is a plus.

  • Solid planning foundations: demand/supply balancing, safety stock, ABC/XYZ segmentation, and basic statistics (MAPE, bias).

  • Ability to quantify trade-offs (service vs cost vs E&O)

  • Financial knowledge related to SCM (inventory and E&O).

  • JDE, SAP, BI experience is a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - able to interact independently with stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across functional teams on resolving problems and/or projects.

  • Meticulous, detailed oriented and sense of urgency for problem solving.

  • Good command of written and spoken English to be able to communicate regional/global teams.

  • Clear business storytelling with data, stakeholder facilitation across Commercial, Service, Quality, and Finance, and a continuous‑improvement mindset

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects without direct authority.

  • Record of successful strategic planning and logistics/supply chain management.

  • Demonstrable ability to influence and negotiate with senior global stakeholders
