About This Job
This position will be on-site and located at our HQ at San Diego, California. Remote or Hybrid is not available.Responsibilities
Lead organization-wide quality initiatives with an automation-first and AI-first mindset.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other quality engineers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Oversee release coordination activities and provide formal Quality endorsement confirming the project’s readiness for deployment.
Maintain standardized quality dashboards for each project to monitor key metrics and performance indicators.
Attend project status meetings to showcase automation and AI impact.
Escalate quality-related conflicts to QE management.
Mentor QEs through 1-on-1 guidance and peer review sessions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on leading a team of 6 or more.
Proficiency in at least one area of automation: UI automation using frameworks like Selenium or Cypress, mobile automation using Appium, or API automation using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
Experience testing both web UI and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
Experience working with SQL databases for test data validation and backend verification.
Exposure to low-code/no-code automation platforms such as Testim is a plus.
Familiarity with AI fundamentals and AI usage in software testing
Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues and collaborate across teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in the banking or fintech industry is a plus.
