The Role: Program Management, OCTO Program Management, MI Technology

The Team: The MI OCTO Program Management team in the Risk & OCTO group is responsible for guiding and supporting the technology functions to deliver critical strategic programs across the division, providing structure and transparency to senior leadership and partnering with teams across the enterprise. 

Responsibilities and Impact:

The OCTO Program Management team is looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills who can demonstrate in-depth experience in project and program management and senior stakeholder management.

As part of the MI technology function, we play a critical role in helping to deliver the key cross business line technology initiatives that help to drive service improvements, business strategy and risk reduction for both our businesses and clients. 

  • Opportunity to be a driving force behind some of the major initiatives and programs within the division
  • Exposure to key technology and business / technology stakeholders
  • A chance to be part of a highly skilled, central team pivotal in delivering the divisions technology strategy, partnering closely with senior leaders in MI and across other divisions

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:

Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and management of a portfolio of projects, or leading a large program defining governance, plans, tracking plans, mitigating risks and ensuring success
  • Meet project deadlines, identify project obstacles, proactively mitigate risks and escalate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Liaise with internal and/or external stakeholders to provide expertise and input where necessary
  • Good client facing skills and the ability to work/communicate with global stakeholders is essential
  • Technical competency to troubleshoot and understand common problems and communicate to team
  • Able to produce structured project plans, regular project reporting, risk analysis and resource management
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical and well organized with a Proven ability to work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in Business, Finance or Technology preferred
  • Experience in a financial firm is desired
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage stakeholder relationships
  • Flexibility and positive attitude towards meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
