About the role
The role is part of the Conversion Accelerator program, building AI/ML-enabled and cloud-native tools that accelerate customer and data migration from legacy to modern applications. The team drives high-impact engineering initiatives using Python, AWS, React, and MLOps frameworks. The Lead Front-end/UI developer will serve as the technical owner and mentor for front-end development across the Conversion Accelerator AI product ecosystem — a suite of 9+ intelligent tools supporting automation, analytics, and visualization. They will guide technical direction, ensure design consistency, optimize performance, and mentor a distributed UI team. This role requires a hands-on leader who can architect scalable UI systems, translate business and UX vision into maintainable code, and coordinate with AI, backend, and product teams for end-to-end delivery.
Daily challenges
- Own UI architecture and front-end design strategy across all product lines.
- Standardize component frameworks and enforce reusability, maintainability, and scalability principles.
- Define and implement performance benchmarks and code quality standards.
- Drive best practices in accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and cross-browser optimization.
- Develop core application frameworks in React.js, TypeScript, and modern CSS architectures (Flexbox, Grid, SASS).
- Optimize load times, implement lazy loading, and manage state effectively using Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers (Python/FastAPI) to design efficient, RESTful APIs.
- Troubleshoot complex UI defects and production issues with a structured debugging approach.
- Partner with UX Designers to ensure design feasibility, functionality, and consistency across products.
- Mentor and review code from junior/intermediate engineers, fostering technical growth and delivery discipline.
- Communicate effectively with product owners, architects, and AI teams to align technical design with sprint outcomes.
- Support sprint planning, estimations, and delivery governance.
- Lead sprint-level UI deliveries, track velocity, and manage cross-team dependencies.
- Contribute to CI/CD setup and DevOps integration for front-end code (GitHub Actions, AWS Amplify, or S3).
- Enforce version control discipline, branching standards, and review workflows.
- Translate complex wireframes or design systems (UXPin, Figma) into modular, reusable UI components.
eXperience and skills required
- Languages & Frameworks: React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), Redux / Context API / Zustand
- Styling & Layout: CSS3, SASS, Flexbox, Grid, Tailwind, Material UI, Halstack (preferred)
- API Integration: REST / GraphQL, Axios, JSON Schema
- Testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress
- Build Tools: Webpack / Vite
- Version Control: Git, GitHub
- Design Tools: Figma, UXPin
- Performance Optimization: Lazy loading, memoization, bundling strategies
- Experience integrating AI-driven UI elements (e.g., chat widgets, data visualizations, dashboards).
- Familiarity with AWS Cloud, Terraform, or Docker for deployment readiness.
- Experience with Halstack Design System and WCAG compliance standards.
- Exposure to backend (Python/FastAPI/Flask) for full-stack collaboration.
