In this role as a Lead Field Project engineer, you shall collaborate with the Installation & Commissioning Engineering team in the region managing Projects as a focal point to Customers, suppliers, site team & various Engineering disciplines and support site team in issues resolution.
As a Lead Field Project Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Being the Technical reference point to site team & customers managing the scope of the assigned Projects in order to promptly resolve any technical issues reported from Projects.
- Assisting in troubleshooting issues of various products like Heavy-Duty Gas Turbines, Aeroderivative Gas turbines, Electric Motor driven Centrifugal compressors, Gearboxes and Auxiliary systems etc..
- Coordinate and communicate with customer representatives, vendors, multi-functional teams, fulfilling customized evaluations and optimization studies.
- Engineering Lessons Learnt management, Root Cause Analysis and assist in defining & implementing Corrective & Preventive action plan.
- Coordinate engineering modifications required in field, Execute any additional requests/Change orders with customers.
- Document management, Non-Conformity Management, FMEA preparation and execution.
- Leading and managing Quality Processes, assist in preparation of critical site milestones and KPIs.
- Being available to travel to sites locations as per requirement to assist in data collection, interact with site team and customer for critical issues resolution.

- Have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience with interpreting engineering & technical documents (Process & instrument diagrams (P&ID), Instrument List, etc.
- Minimum 7 year’s technical experience on rotating machinery.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Project Engineering/Management handling large Projects.
- Knowledge on any of the Baker Hughes or equivalent OEM Products or Technologies such as Heavy-duty gas Turbines (HDGT), Aeroderivative Gas Turbines or Motor driven Centrifugal compressors.
- Passionate and enthusiastic to work in fast paced, challenging and dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Engage proactively, ability to influence others and lead small teams.
- Flexibility to travel to different sites.
