Overall Purpose:
Responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives by providing analysis, research, and solution development. This role supports leadership in setting the strategy for new business opportunities, initiatives, and expansion areas—driving business growth and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Research:
Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Evaluate industry dynamics, demonstrating a strong understanding of business economics, income statements, and balance sheets.
Strategic Planning & Initiative Development:
Develop strategic initiatives and business plans aligned with organizational objectives. Identify growth opportunities, drive business model innovation, and facilitate cross-business unit initiatives. Leverage standard strategy frameworks, integrating both financial and strategic analysis.
Identify opportunities to drive postpaid wireless subscriber net additions through innovative acquisition and retention initiatives.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Financial Modeling:
Deliver in-depth analysis and insights to support leadership’s strategic decisions. Build financial models and forecasts to assess the impact of new initiatives and business opportunities. Distill complex problems into clear, actionable conclusions.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with internal stakeholders—including senior leadership, business units, and functional teams—to ensure alignment and support for strategic initiatives. Prepare presentation materials for leadership approval and effectively communicate recommendations and findings.
Competitive Intelligence & Transaction Support:
Monitor industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to provide timely competitive intelligence. Contribute to negotiations by supporting the development of principal terms and conditions for key transactions.
Job Contribution:
As an experienced professional and recognized expert, you will creatively resolve complex issues, lead significant projects with strategic autonomy, and influence executive decision-making. You’ll mentor less experienced staff, implement long-term plans, and collaborate frequently with senior leadership.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience required. Certification may be required in some areas.
Our Lead Business Strategy earns between $130,700 - $196,100 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
