Job Description:
What you’ll be doing
- Support the development and delivery of LDO Quality Improvement and Action Plans.
- Provide tailored 2nd Line Resettlement advice to Service Leavers throughout their careers.
- Collaborate with CTP and Defence transition services to ensure seamless resettlement support.
- Where needed, train to offer Neurodiversity and SpLD support up to Level 5 practitioner level.
- Stay up to date with Defence policies, including DINs, RNTMs, and resettlement guidance.
- Manage exam activities and maintain Approved Status with awarding bodies, ensuring timely data returns to LDOHQ.
What we’re looking for
Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Holds a Level 3 or above qualification in education and teaching; learning and development or coaching
- Previous experience leading/managing a team
- Ability to travel between Faslane and Arbroath
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Where required by the location holds or be willing to work towards a L5 SpLD / Neurodiversity support qualification
- Holds a higher-level leadership and/or management qualification
- Demonstrates knowledge of JSP 822, BRd 3 Chapter 96, and JSP 534 with specific focus on Tri-Service Resettlement Policy, including as an expert in support entitlement
- Working knowledge and application of the resettlement policy defined in other JSPs and BRs
- Awareness of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and/or Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework
- Awareness of organisations supporting ex-Service Personnel
- JPA Super User for Service Resettlement Advisor
- Understanding and application of Learning Credits (including the Publicly Funded Further Education and Higher Education (PF FEHE) scheme)
