[What the role is]
This traineeship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital transformation within laboratory environments. The trainee will support the implementation of digital solutions to enhance laboratory operations, for example inventory management systems and automated monitoring technologies. Through this role, you will develop competencies in project management, stakeholder engagement, system implementation, user training, and technical documentation whilst gaining valuable exposure to laboratory automation and digitalisation initiatives.
[What you will be working on]
- Assist in the development and implementation of the digital solutions e.g. laboratory inventory management system, centralised temperature monitoring system
- Oversee project progress in accordance with requirements and contract terms
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback
- Prepare user guides and standard operating procedures for system users
- Plan and execute user acceptance training and system validation activities
- Facilitate user training sessions to ensure smooth system adoption
[What we are looking for]
- Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry or related scientific disciplines
- Practical experience in laboratory operations through internships or final year projects
- Demonstrated interest in laboratory automation and digital transformation initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and data analysis tools
- Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
- Adaptable mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
