Job Description:
The life cycle of an aircraft programme is characterised in particular by the implementation of development and certification tests, but also, beforehand, by R&T activities.
These tests vary throughout the test campaign, from the ground integration test campaign to flight tests.
To carry them out, we need high-performance, suitable test facilities operated by testers and pilots to validate and integrate new aircraft systems.
We fulfill this mission through a multinational department spread across four sites (Toulouse, Filton, Hamburg and Bremen) and we build cooperation with the other Airbus divisions.
In order to reinforce and support these activities, a position as a lab test means architect has just been created at the Flight Test Centre within the Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) Division in Toulouse.
Come and experience this exciting adventure as a Lab Test Means Architect. You will be part of a team that develops ground and flight test Test Means. Within our team, you will be involved in defining and designing the architecture of Lab Test Means.

Understand and challenge the needs expressed by testers in order to translate them into appropriate technical solutions
Propose and lead new solutions that comply with requirements and regulations in force for lab test means
Manage call for tenders if necessary
Ensure a closed collaboration with Project Managers on architecture costing & schedule
Define the architectures to be implemented and share them with stakeholders (electrical/mechanical designers, instrumentation, simulation)
Ensure the technical coordination/steering of architects community
Raise early technical risks & arbitrate trades
Specify the development of necessary equipment that is missing or obsolete and monitor these developments
Support designers in the creation of electrical plans and harnesses associated with this architecture
Provide support for integration activities
Ensure V&V (Verification & Validation) of the lab test means
✈️ Your profile ?
General Engineering's degree level (or equivalent) in Aeronautical Engineering
Experience of 5 years minimum in systems design or development
Good knowledge of avionics systems
Skills in testing and validating test equipment would be appreciated
Basics in project management
Knowledges of configuration management would be a plus
Ability to negotiate and give presentations (Advanced level) in both French and English
Experience as a lab test means architect would be a plus
Team spirit, leadership, autonomy, rigour, good communication skills, adaptability and flexibility
Occasional travel to multiple sites is to be expected.
