This role is part of the South America Sales & Services (SAMS) organization, specifically focused on the Antamina, located in Peru. Our SAMS team is dedicated to delivering high-impact technical and commercial solutions through close customer collaboration and world-class service. Operating in one of the most important mining corridors in Antamina and it is a strategic area for our long-term growth and customer partnerships.
Role Summary – Site & Service Sales Key Account Manager Senior
As a Site & Service Sales Key Account Manager Senior, you will lead and manage key accounts across Antamina, Peru, developing long-term relationships and strategic plans with our major mining clients. You will oversee a team of Account Managers and ensure our sales efforts align with regional and global strategies. This role focuses on growing our installation base, increasing wallet share, and delivering service excellence through proactive customer engagement and problem-solving. You will be responsible for developing and managing the annual sales budget, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Own medium- and long-term sales planning for key accounts in the Antamina Peru mining sector.
Develop and implement strategies to protect and grow wallet share with existing customers across multiple product lines and services.
Lead and mentor a team of collaborators, setting sales targets and ensuring alignment with group and regional business goals.
Develop and manage the annual sales budget, ensuring it aligns with the company’s strategic and financial objectives.
Identify opportunities in installed bases to upgrade or replace equipment with FLS portfolio offerings.
Drive customer retention, account growth strategies, and service excellence in every interaction.
Facilitate resolution of client concerns and ensure customers always receive high-quality service.
Occasionally we support new customer acquisition, though the primary focus is on expanding existing accounts.
Promote and uphold a strong safety culture within your team and with clients, in accordance with FLS’s operational values.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Lines, Field Service, Technical Support, and other departments to maximize customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Mining, or related field).
Minimum 8 years of experience in technical sales or key account management within the mining industry.
Proven experience in developing and managing annual sales budgets, with a strong focus on aligning financial planning with strategic business goals.
Experience managing or leading sales teams and setting performance objectives.
Deep understanding of mining processes and FLS’s product portfolio and or similar, particularly in mineral processing, wear parts, and service contracts are desirable.
Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English (written and spoken).
Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship management skills.
High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence, lead, and collaborate.
Willingness to travel within Antamina Peru and occasionally across SAMER.
Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics), MS Office Suite, and data-driven decision making.
Health requirement for mine site access: The candidate must comply with the mandatory medical examinations and health certifications required by current mining regulations to enter and work at the site.
