Job Description

The Krakow Video Security and Access Control team is looking for a self-driven test engineer to join our Avigilon Alta Video project. You will be a part of the team that is responsible for executing end to end tests. Among your daily duties you will be designing, executing and maintaining test plans and test cases and performing regression tests for each new Avigilon Alta  release. In parallel you will also be preparing and maintaining the test setup. We are looking for an open-minded, self-motivated person willing to pursue their ideas and cooperate.

Responsibilities include:

  • Execute and manage test plans and test procedures based created test plans and product specifications

  • Turn product requirements into test requirements

  • Perform black box testing (smoke, sanity, regression, acceptance) and integration testing, end to end testing

  • Develop test plans and detailed test cases for functional, regression and system level test activities for web and mobile applications

  • Assist in bug life cycle management, defect reporting and tracking, defect analysis and validation

  • Aid in developing standards and procedures to ensure product quality


Basic Requirements

  • MSc or BSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

  • Willingness to learn and self-development

  • ISTQB Foundation Level knowledge

  • Testing, debugging and analytical thinking skills

  • Communicative English

Would be a plus:

  • Experience with test management and issue tracking tools (with emphasis on TestRail and JIRA)

  • Understanding of IP networks

  • Comfortable with setting up and maintaining electronic hardware and networks to support testing
