Junior Product Manager: Facilities & Network

This position reports to the Facilities and Network Product Manager

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determine what data needs to be gathered to inform decision making around product requirements
  • Conduct on-the-ground analysis of processes to make informed decisions
  • Conduct Gap analysis on current and potential future systems  
  • Gather and use quantitative and qualitative data to help formulate product requirements
  • Extract key insights from data for post-launch impact analysis
  • Create, design and document reporting metrics to measure pre and post-launch impact/efficiency
  • Suggest ideas to solve customer challenges and validate them in close collaboration with UX and relevant stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate requirements to UX/UI design resources
  • Work with design resources to finalize the customer experience for a particular feature
  • Take end-to-end ownership of product development including documentation, implementation, testing, launch, and success metric monitoring
  • Facilitate backlog grooming and planning ceremonies
  • Clarify project requirements and create acceptance criteria with QA and Engineering 
  • Perform pre-launch user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Collaborate with technical teams to document high-level non-functional and functional requirements
  • Apply understanding of system architecture to help shape functional requirements
  • Ensure relevant stakeholders for a project are correctly identified, consulted and informed
  • Have a deep understanding of core stakeholder pain-points / objectives related to a project and long term strategic vision
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, related to a specific project(s), including obtaining senior stakeholder buy-in, approval and sign off for requirements and relevant project status communications
  • Take initiative to identify critical problems and drive solutions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Understand the product vision and strategy and how this impacts parallel teams and work streams 
  • Contribute to the roadmap to execute the product strategy

  • Good technical understanding of software development processes
  • Good business analysis skills - analytical and able to use data to make decisions
  • Highly structured thinker with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including technical and non-technical individuals

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field with at least 3 years of business analysis experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities) OR 1 year of product management experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities)
  • If the degree/diploma qualification requirement isn’t met, at least 6 years of business analysis experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities) or 4 years of product management experience or exposure (through projects or responsibilities)
  • Experience working with data analytics tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, BigQuery, DBeaver)
  • Experience working with wireframing tools is preferable
  • Experience in working with Android applications
  • Design Thinking experience will be highly advantageous
  • Experience in the Retail, Logistics or Supply Chain industries would be advantageous
