Leidos Defense Systems Sector provides a diverse portfolio of systems, solutions, and services covering land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace for customers worldwide. Leidos’ Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Junior Integration Engineer. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Our team works across multiple business sectors, with industry partners, and directly with the customer. We strive to have a variety of skillsets personally and across the team to meet the needs of our customers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Executing test plans for development, qualification, and acceptance phases of hardware projects.

  • Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.

  • Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.

  • Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.

  • Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.

  • Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities.

  • The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).

Basic Qualifications

  • This position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering with 2+ years experience or Master’s degree in relevant engineering field.

  • Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.

  • Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.

  • Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.

  • Resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

  • Active secret clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience with test planning and execution.

  • Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)

  • Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices

  • Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark

  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management

  • Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Pay Range:

Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
