Join us as a Junior Analytics Engineer in our Data Engineering & Platform chapter, part of the Data & Analytics unit.

This unit is at the forefront of transforming our vast data into actionable insights, leading to enhanced customer experience and industry-leading efficiency. If you want to be at the core of how a major international company leverages data across its expansive operations, this is the place for you. Your work will impact greatly on a massive number of customers and contribute to real-time decision-making, analytics, and operational processes.

As a Junior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining data models, pipelines, and reporting solutions. You will be part of a team dedicated to building scalable data products that serve the entire organization and enable informed decision-making.

This is a fixed term position (1 year) to support Posti's key projects in 2026.

Your Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining robust data models and pipelines following Lakehouse architecture and utilizing tools like dbt, Databricks, Python, and SQL.
  • Developing scalable reporting solutions (Powerbi) and analytical datasets to support various business needs.
  • Working with complex datasets and applying advanced data modeling techniques to ensure high-quality, efficient, and insightful data products.
  • Working with large datasets and optimizing data retrieval with Databricks 
  • Ensuring data quality and accuracy through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Staying updated with emerging trends and technologies within data and analytics engineering

Could this be you?

  • You are either a recent graduate (in Business, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field) or You are in early stages of your career 
  • You have interest in areas such as data analysis, programming, or data engineering 
  • Experience with databases (SQL) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) 
  • Experience in Python and cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, Databricks, Spark/PySpark) are considered as an advantage 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and github
  • Analytical mindset and enthusiasm for learning new things 
  • You understand both data and business, and you are motivated by delivering on business objectives.
  • You enjoy collaborating with diverse stakeholders and taking ownership of your own tasks and projects
  • Fluent language skills in Finnish and English 

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be good at organizing and planning your own tasks. You'll also enjoy interacting with different stakeholders and working with your teammates. You'll be able to create frameworks and models that others on the project can use. We appreciate your expertise, but what we value even more is your ability to develop robust, maintainable solutions that last overtime.
