Dredging International Egypt, a multinational maritime engineering company, is looking for a Junior Accountant in Cairo.
As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance department by maintaining financial records with attention to detail and accuracy.

Your responsibilities
- Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g. work advances, expenses, purchases);
- Process accounts payable invoices, receipts, and payments;
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and payment records;
- Reconcile bank statements, petty cash & vendor balances;
- Prepare general ledger entries;
- Assist senior accountants during quarterly and year-end closings;
- Support external audits by providing required information;
- Finance Mailbox -> communicate with suppliers, colleagues & bank front office;
- Collaborate with other departments to gather and provide financial information;
- Identify and report accounting discrepancies or irregularities;
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents (digital and physical).
Your profile
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, such as internships or part-time positions, is desirable;
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel;
- Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail;
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
- Proactive and self-motivated attitude with willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges;
- Integrity and commitment to maintain confidentiality in handling financial information.
