The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our Balance Sheet Control function to join our team on a 12 month contract. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and grow within a structured finance environment. You’ll assist in maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end processes under the guidance of senior team members.
How will you make an impact?
Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Support the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reviewing account balances.
Help investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
Maintain documentation and audit trails for balance sheet transactions.
Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and controls.
Assist in preparing reports and schedules for internal and external audits.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently studying).
Up to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships or graduate roles welcome).
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Good communication and organizational skills.
