We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) Specialist to lead our transition to a leaner, more agile portfolio management approach.
This role is fundamental to connecting our corporate strategy to the execution of our development teams. The ideal candidate will not be just a theorist, but a hands-on change agent responsible for defining the LPM framework, implementing the processes and tools, and actively training our teams and leadership to ensure successful adoption.
Key Responsibilities
1. Implement Processes and Tools:
Configure and manage the LPM tool to support the new process.
Establish and facilitate key LPM events (e.g., Strategic Portfolio Review, Portfolio Sync, Participatory Budgeting).
Implement the Portfolio Kanban to visualize, manage, and optimize the flow of Epics from idea to delivery.
2. Train and Coach:
Develop and deliver comprehensive training materials on LPM principles and practices for different audiences (executive leadership, product managers, PMOs, agile teams).
Act as a coach and mentor for senior leadership, helping them adopt their roles in the LPM model.
Guide delivery teams and Product Owners/Managers on how to break down Epics, define MVPs, and report progress effectively.
Lead the LPM Community of Practice (CoP) to promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in the implementation of Lean Portfolio Management (LPM) practices in an organization at scale.
Deep knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and agile portfolio management (especially SAFe).
Practical experience as an Agile Coach, RTE (Release Train Engineer), or Agile Portfolio Manager.
Hands-on experience configuring and using ALM/LPM tools (Jira, Jira Align, Azure DevOps, etc.).
A servant leadership profile, focused on empowering teams and removing impediments.
