Janitorial Position Overview

Responsible for general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility, including restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse areas. Duties include trash removal, floor cleaning, organizing workspaces, and operating equipment for waste management. Perform minor repairs and special assignments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service all facility restrooms.

• Mop and sweep floors; keep aisles clear of debris.

• Maintain breakroom and office areas: clean surfaces, appliances, and remove trash.

• Remove trash and excess materials from work areas.

• Collect and bail cardboard; operate trash compactor.

• Organize product in bin locations as necessary.

• Report safety hazards to management.

• Wear proper PPE at all times.

• Complete other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.

• 6 months–1 year experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.

• Operate forklift, pallet jack, trash compactor, and cardboard baler.

• Perform basic warehouse repairs and special tasks.

• Follow oral and written instructions.

• Work independently and as part of a team.

• Communicate effectively and provide good customer service.

Working Conditions

• Primarily indoors in a well-lit warehouse; occasional outdoor work.

• Exposure to equipment noise; shift work may be required.

Physical Demands

• Lift, pull, push, and carry up to 49 lbs (team lift over 50 lbs).

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.

**Must have working knowledge of English language for training and safety purposes.
