Job Description
The Technology Consultant is a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise, able to promote capability and benefits of portfolio to customers. Deliver proof of concept, after sales support, and is a trusted advisor to the sales organization and channel.
They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. The technology consultant will be the technical product expert within the sales organization for customer pursuits. The Technology Consultant will expand Distributor Specialist capability in areas lacking coverage the Technology Consultant will support commercial marketing activities, interface with Product Departments, support product and quality issues, provide post sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support.
Your Responsibilities:
- Be the technical product expert and focal point in Hanoi/Vietnam for Power Control Portfolio such as Low Voltage/Medium Voltage Drives, Motor Control Center (MCC) and Motor Starters product range
- You will Facilitate and provide product-based training to the Salesforce and channel.
- Co-operate with the sales team in promoting the product range to all customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, performance tests and/or similar activities.
- Define and explain product differentiators and values versus competition.
- Analyze competitive product lines, have knowledge of competitor's strategy, further define competitive differentiators.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars and/or similar marketing activities, offering demonstrations and product expertise with customers where needed
- Support market access (Distributor and Systems Integrators) to ensure their capability in articulating the value and demonstration of RA products or technologies
- Assist Business Lead in launch of new products to the sales force and channel.
- Validate and resolve compatibility issues of products within architectural solutions and provide guidance to customers/sales force.
- You will seek out and participate in both training opportunities to develop technical skills.
- Update customers on new products and technology related to customer's industry and application needs as a resource to the named account team.
- Provide product gap and development feedback to appropriate your department.
- Share insights with peers.
- Interface with Tech Support on post sales product issues.
- Invest time in self-enablement and be passionate about learning Rockwell's offerings and solutions
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronic engineering/technical field or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years' experience in technical role of automation and electrical
- Fluency with native language and command of English (written and spoken).
- Supporter of our customer centricity. Understand the importance of demonstrating concern for satisfying customers. Passionate about developing goals to improve our customer experience.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Focus on opportunities that support Rockwell Automation's strategy.
- Solution and application expertise in Power Control solutions (Low Voltage/Medium Voltage Drives, Soft Starter, MCC..) and related demonstrated sales experience.
- Understand business models, organization and go-to-market strategy, leverage
- Knowledge of industry strategies, familiarity with outcome-based selling.
- Understand our goals and Indicators of the customer.
- Keep sales and customer relationship management data up to date in tools (i.e. SFA), optimizing activities by using tools.
