Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator provides technical leadership and support for Fugro’s IT infrastructure, including server, storage, and virtualization systems. This role ensures optimal performance, availability, and scalability of both physical and virtual environments. The Systems Administrator maintains expert-level knowledge of current and emerging hardware, software, and infrastructure technologies to maximize efficiency and utilization across Fugro’s IT landscape. Working closely with IT leadership, the Administrator contributes to environment design, control, and security, and leads the selection and implementation of innovative technologies that support and enhance Fugro’s business operations. The role also includes monitoring and supporting infrastructure servers, maintaining virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and troubleshooting performance and availability issues. Where supported, the Administrator will implement automation to streamline operations and improve system reliability.

Position requires frequent and heavy computer use.
Employee must be able to work effectively with departmental and inter-company personnel to satisfactorily complete jobs.
Some travel required; ability and willingness to travel to remote sites/ Vessels.
Rotational on-call responsibility during business and non-business hours.
