IT Product Owner – Voice Systems

The ultimate purpose of the Product Owner is to understand the Stakeholder needs, interpret those needs into prioritized stories and work items and oversee their successful execution and delivery.

In addition, they will create a collaborative and transparent environment that helps deliver business value in a quick and iterative fashion. Collaboration, relationship-building, communication, execution, and leadership are key aspects of the Product Owner role. The ultimate purpose of the Product Owner is to understand the Stakeholder needs and prioritize those needs based on business value.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.    Defines and prioritizes the product features and works with the development team to ensure they are delivered.
2.    Owns backlog, backlog refinement and prioritization of stories and tasks.
3.    Works closely with Program Manager to ensure short term work aligns with road map and vision.
4.    Collaborates with stakeholders to understand needs to make business decisions.
5.    Available to the team to answer questions and refine direction.
6.    Articulates the WHAT and WHY of the work.
7.    Understands long term road map and vision and can make decisions that support it.
8.    Develops and maintains relationships with stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged through development/projects.
9.    Adheres to processes to ensure backlog is visible, transparent, and clear.
10.    Escalates issues quickly to stakeholders and Program Manager.
11.    Challenges the team to obtain opinions and solutions for delivering committed work.
12.    Proactively identifies impacts and dependencies and communicates as necessary
13.    Constantly provides clear communication to Program Manager, leadership, and stakeholders.
14.    Accountable to the success of a product.
 

**Pay Range for this position is - $75,000 - $110,000


EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
1.    Bachelor’s degree in information science or Business Administration or similar field preferred.
2.    Certified Product Owner preferred.
3.    Experience working on enterprise grade shared system solutions preferred.
4.    Experience of managing multiple projects in a large global organization.

5.    Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
6.    Ability to motivate and set the direction for a (not direct report) team.
