Management: Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the Systems Administration and Helpdesk teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Technical Expertise: Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, while staying connected to the technical aspects of the role.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Qualification: Degree in Information Technology\Systems Administration\Networking\Cyber Security or a related field, a master's or post graduate degree would be an advantage.
- Technical Certifications: Certified in the following tools and certifications would be an advantage: VMWARE, NETAPP Storage, Qualys, Sentinel, Microsoft Office 365 Environments, Active Directory, Active Directory and Domain Services, Scripting, COBIT/ITIL, On-Prem and Cloud Infrastructure
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience: Proven track record in technical support and IT management roles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong focus on customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and mentor a team.

Leadership & Team Management:
- Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the Systems Administration and Helpdesk teams.

- Develop and implement performance management plans for team members.
- Identify training and development opportunities for continuous skill improvement.
Technical Expertise:
- Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure.
- Lead the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior administrators on complex technical projects.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
User Support:
- Ensure the effective delivery of first-line technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop tools.
- Devise strategies to continuously improve user experience and satisfaction.
- Establish clear escalation processes for complex user issues.
System Administration:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktop hardware and software.
- Ensure timely application of security patches and updates to maintain system health and performance.
- Implement system monitoring tools and proactively identify potential issues.
- Oversee the documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Network Administration:
- Supervise network troubleshooting tasks to maintain network stability in collaboration with service providers, including the organization’s telephony systems.
- Foster a strong understanding of network concepts amongst the team.
Security Awareness:
- Champion IT security best practices within the department and the OMNAM group.
- Develop and implement security awareness training programs for staff.
