More about the role

You will own delivery for a defined portfolio of applications and act as the bridge between business stakeholders and vendors. Initially, your focus will be within the People area (for example Workday), but the scope may evolve as Svitzer continues its transformation.

You will take end-to-end ownership of delivery, create visibility, align priorities, and ensure progress. This role requires balancing structure and flexibility and using sound judgment to focus on what truly matters.

Key responsibilities

Application Management

  • Own a set of applications supporting key business processes end to end.
  • Create and drive application roadmaps in close collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure stable operations and effective change delivery with vendors and stakeholders.

Delivery Leadership

  • Plan and lead delivery of changes, improvements, and small projects.
  • Keep focus on outcomes, ensuring quality delivery on time and within budget.
  • Maintain visibility, track progress, and communicate proactively across stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner to business functions.
  • Collaborate with process owners (for example, BPOs) and provide guidance from a technology and delivery perspective to ensure alignment between process and system design.
  • Be the first point of contact for vendors and manage their performance.

Governance and Process

  • Maintain structure around budgets, contracts, and roadmaps, contributing to cost transparency and prioritization decisions.
  • Own the support and incident management setup for your applications, staying close to user feedback and driving improvements. Maintain oversight of production issues and act as the main contact for major incidents.
  • Support compliance, cyber security and IT audit activities within your portfolio.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of delivery rather than waiting for direction.

You are proactive, structured, and business-minded. Confident in managing multiple priorities, challenging when needed, and creating clarity in complex situations.

You are curious about how the business operates and motivated to understand its goals. You take initiative to connect with stakeholders, translate needs into technology actions, and ensure outcomes deliver real business value. - You organize your work effectively, manage priorities independently, and stay on top of commitments.

You bring our way of working to life by owning delivery, creating visibility, aligning with stakeholders, and driving initiatives forward.

What we specifically will look for

  • Hold a relevant University degree.
  • Hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
  • Fluent in oral and written English, as this is our corporate language.
  • Strong understanding of application delivery and lifecycle management.
  • Ability to lead vendors and ensure effective delivery across multiple systems.
  • Proven track record in leading the delivery and managing business-critical applications.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical, structured, and self-driven work style.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in budget, roadmap, and contract management.
  • Experience with HR or People systems such as Workday.
  • Certifications like ITIL, PMP, or Agile/Scrum.
  • Experience in maritime, logistics, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
