IT Business Relationship Manager

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an IT Business Relationship Manager. Reporting to the Manager of IT Business Relationship Management, will develop and maintain strong firm relationships and serve as the client interface to formulate business needs and translate them to justified concept projects as well as develop Microsoft 365 solutions such as Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, Power App, Power Platform.

This position will reside in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor representing IT with the business.

  • Offer input and business perspective into IT strategy and architecture development process.

  • Work in a global matrixed organization to establish business and IT strategy roadmaps.

  • Lead projects and IT roadmaps for assigned domain (e.g., legal practice or department) and guide business partners in the analysis, selection and implementation of technology services.

  • Collaborate with stakeholder business planning and strategy meetings to gather requirements and report on progress.

  • Align project and processes with the organization’s strategies and goals.

  • Act as point of escalation to identify bottlenecks and issue resolution, ensuring transparency of new or changing requirements and impact on IT.

  • Design and implement automation solutions using appropriate platforms and technologies.

  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize automated workflows for reliability and scalability.

  • Document processes and provide training to end-users on new solutions.

  • Directly or indirectly supervise non-supervisory employees as requested by the Manager of Program Management. 

Experience and qualifications:

  • Education equivalent to BA, BS Degree or the equivalent in related work experience (Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Process Management etc.).

  • 5 or more years of IT related experience, including at least 2 years of project management experience.

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of effective project management and product/service delivery.

  • Background in software development and/or product management including such as coding, quality assurance, business requirements analysis and technical design.

  • Experience in process analysis, workflow design, and automation implementation.

  • Familiarity with automation platforms (e.g., low-code/no-code tools, RPA solutions).

  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders including C-Level communications.

  • Vendor Relationship Management skills

  • Technology strategy planning skills and experience

  • People skills in a collaborative and client centric environment

  • Supervisory skills

  • Strategic project management and people management skills

  • Initiative-taking with planning/organizational skills

  • Technical skills including Microsoft Office suites including Microsoft Project and SharePoint; Jira and Confluence; Net and SQL; Agile methods (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).

  • ITIL, PMP, CSM and Agile-related certifications are preferred.
