POSITION SUMMARY

The Investor Services Analyst is an entry-level role designed for recent college graduates or new to industry candidates looking to start a career in financial services or mortgage industry. This position supports daily and monthly reporting, remittances, and reconciliations for investor portfolios such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, and Private Investors. You’ll work closely with experienced team members to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance, while gaining hands-on experience in data analysis, accounting, and investor operations.

DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Help prepare investor reports, remittance files, and related accounting entries.
  • Support monthly reconciliations for custodial accounts (Clearing, P&I, T&I, Escrow).
  • Research and help resolve data discrepancies and account variances.
  • Learn to facilitate remittance wires and journal entries under supervision.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain accurate records and resolve issues.
  • Follow established procedures and controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Participate in internal and external audit support activities.
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Use Microsoft Excel to analyze data and create reports.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Preferred majors: Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Excel in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while contributing to the creation, design, and implementation of value-add business strategies that affect current operating practices and company policy.
  • Be able to clearly articulate and present ideas and findings to a varied audience, including the operations staff and senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis
  • Ability to adapt
  • Willingness to learn
  • An entrepreneurial business mindset.
  • Strong business communication skills with an ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task, respond well to pressure and deadlines, and work well individually and in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong skills in Excel and/or Tableau (charts, graphs, pivot tables, formulas, macros etc.).
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Visio a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Working on-site at assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
  • Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
  • Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
  • Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
