As an Investment Analyst in a pan-European Insurance group, you will support the development and execution of the organization’s investment strategy and contribute to achieving its financial and strategic objectives. Reporting to the Head of Investments, you will join an investment team and assist in overseeing the investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and learning to optimize returns and manage risks in compliance with Belgian and International regulations.
This position will enable you to develop your investment knowledge and start interacting with key stakeholders in the organization.

Your responsibilities
As Investment Analyst, you will support the team with tasks such as:
Assisting with the implementation of the investment portfolio according to approved allocations.
Helping monitor investments and the portfolio, including basic analysis of portfolio changes, new investments, and compliance with regulation.
Supporting risk monitoring activities, including credit, interest rate, and market risks, under supervision.
Assisting in investment analysis and fund selection using both quantitative and qualitative criteria, with guidance from senior team members.
Updating cash balances and assisting with daily cash reconciliations.
Supporting the trade execution process and helping verify trade details, under supervision.
Assisting in scenario analyses and stress tests on the investment portfolio.
Helping monitor the allocation and performance of the investment portfolio.
Preparing reports on portfolio evolution and supporting the analysis of changes, with input from senior colleagues.
Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile
You have a bachelor’s degree in actuarial sciences, financial engineering, applied mathematics, business administration, finance, economics or equivalent.
You have 0–2 years' experience in a relevant position, preferably acquired in an investment or ALM department within the insurance or financial sector. International experience or environment is an asset.
You are a native French or Dutch speaker with good command of the other national language and have a good command of English.
You have a basic knowledge of Solvency II.
You have some knowledge of financial products (Credit, Fixed Income, Liquidity, Derivatives) and have an interest in ALM, assets, cash flows, liabilities.
You understand risk management and risk parameters (Statistical analysis, Derivative Greeks…).
You are a skilled user of MS Office and have a good knowledge of Excel. Python or VBA is a +

You show good communication skills.
You have strong analytical and synthesis skills and are oriented towards solutions and results.
