Education required:
Degree in Chemistry or CTF, or a closely related discipline.

Other requirements:

• Practical experience from laboratory coursework or prior internships.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and data analysis.
• Interest in purification, chemical modification, and analytical characterization of antigens.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow scientific protocols.
• Motivation to grow professionally and contribute to impactful vaccine research.

Language requirement:
Written and spoken fluency in Italian and good working knowledge of English.

January 2026

What will you do?

• Support laboratory activities focused on antigen purification, chemical modification, and analytical characterization.
• Conduct experiments to evaluate different antigen modification technologies and determine key process parameters influencing performance and product attributes.
• Assist with testing of a new instrument for antigen purification.
• Contribute to the development, optimization, and implementation of analytical methods (e.g. HPLC-based assays).
• Record, analyze, and maintain accurate experimental data and documentation.
• Present findings and contribute to technical reports or internal presentations.
• Collaborate with experienced scientists in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Follow best laboratory practices and safety standards in a regulated research setting.

What will you learn?

• Hands-on experience in antigen purification and chemical modification.
• Practical knowledge of chromatographic purification and tangential flow filtration (TFF).
• Operation and troubleshooting of HPLC systems and interpretation of data from multiple detectors.
• Analytical method development for antigen characterization.
• Experimental design, data analysis, and documentation skills.
• Exposure to the vaccine development process in an industrial research environment.
• Teamwork and communication within a collaborative scientific setting.
