Your Role at Baxter

What you'll be doing

As an International Marketing Manager, for our Front Line Care business, you play an essential role as an advisor to the commercial and upstream marketing team and executives by providing local insights, serving as a liaison with the global team, and assisting with portfolio optimization for key markets.  For select markets and strategic projects, you will facilitate commercial excellence and growth leveraging local resources.  As strategic opportunities arise, you will analyze external market and competitive dynamics to support commercial growth. You will also regularly disseminate results, insights and implications to your key partners within the business and executives at Baxter.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership (30%)

Portfolio Optimization: Analyze data to identify opportunities to streamline the market offering to improve results. Correlate data with qualitative feedback, channel performance, and business support metrics to develop a robust perspective. Communicate results to leadership.

Market Insight: Proactively track key market trends for selected geographies and monitor competitive movements for prioritized portfolios.

Corporate Development: Provide regional expertise for Inorganic Business Development opportunities in new, adjacent product categories as needed.

Leadership: Maintain strong global and regional relationships with relevant marketing and support functions within Baxter. Provide best practices as required.

Performance Metrics: Evaluate and provide metrics, opportunities for improvement back to colleagues on a periodic basis.

Commercial Execution (70%)

Drive Growth: Collaborate with selected markets to drive growth strategies, along with regional commercial team. Develop business plans to drive market development growth.

Enhance selling capabilities: Provide coaching to the team on how to optimize business portfolio across marketing pillars. Maintain metrics, help needed, and open communication to drive results.

Implement clinical selling: Work with commercial team closely to provide execution support to better utilize sales aids and medical publications; provide sales support and evaluate strategies

Execute optimized portfolio: Support the execution of commercial business portfolio optimization. Prioritize commercial opportunities, align strategically which are most critical, build development plans in conjunction with the region, and sponsor implementation.

Customer Intimacy: Proactively work with commercial team for key customer visits and developing KOL relationships

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, with emphasis in business preferred. MBA desired
  • 7-10 years relevant professional business experience
  • Expertise in marketing and branding concepts, with an advanced understanding of the product development and commercialization process that incorporates customer requirements.
  • Successful track record of leading multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to work independently, show initiative, and serve as a thought leader.
  • Experienced in commercial enablement, ability to create and execute commercial strategies
  • Demonstrated proficiency to clearly and concisely communicate, both written and verbally, to all internal and client stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentation
  • Healthcare, medical device business environment and dynamics knowledge highly preferred
  • Collaborative approach and ability to engage with leaders across a variety of corporate functions, to understand category trends and dynamics
  • Ability to creatively and logically solve challenges and navigate roadblocks. Advocate for adopting innovative ways and ideas
  • Comfortable/thrives in constantly evolving situations, works well in non-hierarchical, proactive environment
  • Strong ownership mentality, maintains focus on driving projects to completion and delivering results
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
