Role Overview
The Controller position is a hands-on role, responsible for all accounting functions internally for the firm, including full-cycle month-end close, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, and tax compliance. The Controller will be responsible for managing the general accounting for the organization, prepare financial statements and management reporting, managing the organization's cash, and assisting with the creation of budgets and forecasts. Experience with developing and establishing policies and procedures within a high growth organization is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage all general accounting functions which includes performing month-end close process, eliminations & consolidations, preparing and booking journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Prepare monthly consolidated financials including fluctuation analysis and budget vs actual comparisons
- Direct activities related to efficient billing, customer cash collection and overall cash management and cash forecasting
- Analyze company operations to identify operational and cost efficiencies and implement solutions
- Create and manage KPI Dashboards
- Accurately calculate sales commissions in accordance with multiple compensation plans
- Build standardized and ad-hoc reports that track revenue, margins, operating costs, KPIs, and other segment-level metrics
- Manage multiple payroll schedules
- Oversee tax-related matters to ensure timely compliance
- Manage internal accounting team
Requirements

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years at the Assistant Controller level and above
- Experience guiding, mentoring, and leading high performing teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced professional services environment

Location/Travel
- Remote – Pacific Time Zone (preferred)
- Ability to travel at least twice a year for All-Staff Retreats & Regional Meetups
Reports To: Internal CFO
Hiring Range: $185,000- $200,000 (depending on experience)
Position Status: Full-Time Exempt
