In this internship, the intern will actively contribute to project delivery by assisting in requirements gathering, preparing documentation, and supporting test planning and execution. Their role will focus on enhancing claims operations efficiency through hands-on involvement in various departmental tasks and collaborative initiatives.

 

Administrative work (Practical general administrative knowledge and work to gain exposure and education on the business/function process in an organization.)

Within the claims operation team, administrative work may include organizing and maintaining electronic and physical records related to claims, preparing reports and summaries for management review, and handling correspondence with clients or other departments. The intern may also assist with scheduling meetings, updating tracking spreadsheets, and processing routine documentation to support the overall workflow and ensure efficient claims handling.

REQUIREMENTS

(Field of Study/Skills – e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Social Skills, Written/Verbal Communication)

  • Field of Study: Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report preparation; experience with Microsoft PowerPoint for creating presentations; familiarity with database management and documentation tools.

  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively document requirements, prepare reports, and interact with team members and clients.

  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and strong time management to support efficient claims operations.

  • Collaboration: Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse group.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze project requirements, identify process improvements, and contribute to problem-solving initiatives.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new systems and processes, and flexibility to take on varied administrative and project tasks as needed.
