Position summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern with a background in Mechanical Engineering to join our product development team focused on generator set (genset) systems.

In this role, you will assist in the definition, documentation, and management of system and component level requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provides the design, drawing and documents for the customer’s technical requirements, calculates, verifies, selects the right equipment/suppliers, provides the technical specifications and defines the scope of supply for the equipment.
  • Provides and maintains the product and sales engineering information.
  • Uses the computerized engineering tools/database, technical library information and factory standards for the engineering work, prepares and carries out technical presentations and training.
  • Familiarize oneself with the applicable international and in country technical standards, knowledge and hands on CAD Tool, SAP
  • Raises the necessary purchase requisitions for the scope of supply, verify on the clarification of the order, sales engineering, and drawings/documents.

Who we’re looking for: 

  • Graduate/ Post Graduate in Mechanical engineering.
  • Hands on experience on engineering, site supervision and commissioning of diesel genset with knowledge of electrical power systems and genset control system
  • Knowledge of Engine & genset and its operations & applications.
  • Knowledge in Autocad would be an added advantage.
  • Adaptable to different cultures and business practice
  • Excellent team player with an open mindset, collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills.
