The Position

The Enterprise Center of Excellence (eCoE) focuses on three areas: delivering a high-level of financial expertise, innovative insights, and an entrepreneurial mindset that enables agility and flexibility for stakeholders. The team provides timely, accurate and decision-relevant information to support the CFO, CEO, the Corporate Executive Committee and the Board of Directors in value creation and financial performance management. In addition, it provides timely, accurate and decision-relevant information and analysis of actual and planned financial performance of the Group and Divisions management units.

 

 

The Opportunity

This internship will provide you with a unique financial perspective on one of the world's leading healthcare companies. Based on various management accounting tasks, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the income statement, cash flows and balance sheet on a Group level (Pharmaceuticals and Diagnostics). You will be working in an international environment and gain insights into financial accounting and reporting processes, key performance indicators (sales, operating profit, net income, EPS, headcount and cash flow among others), products and markets. Advantages include flexible working hours and working from home. 

 

The expected start date would be February 2026. The planned duration is 6 to 12 months.

 

You will play an active role in: 

  • Compiling the management reports for the Corporate Executive Committee, Board of Directors and other important decision-makers 

  • Analyzing the performance of the Roche Group, divisions, regions, and affiliates 

  • Supporting Roche's external releases by collaborating with the Investor Relations and Communications teams 

  • Maintaining and improving reports and tools, including automation and process optimization initiatives (ad-hoc).

Furthermore, you bring the following:

  • You are currently enrolled at University (studying Finance / Economics or a similar degree) OR you completed your degree within 12 months before the start of the internship. 

  • A genuine interest in technology trends and an affinity for IT topics, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) to drive optimization and achieve excellent results. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power Point are required and ideally some experience with macros/VBA or Power Query. Exposure to tools like Power BI, Tableau is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information effectively and quickly understand new challenges and the big picture.

  • Excellent command of English 

  • First work experience in finance is a strong plus
