Intern - Design Support Engineer

UK-Wimborne (Nuclear) Full time

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting our electronics team across a wide range of projects developing standard and bespoke products in the radiation protection arena.
  • Design of predominately analogue electronics circuitry for the capture of pulsed signals in the Femtampere region.
  • Interpretation and realisation of electronics requirements into circuit design.
  • Build prototypes for de-risking new designs, test and evaluation.
  • Calculation of tolerance stack to ensure the design meets requirements in all cases.
  • Devising validation and verification plans.

Who we are looking for:

  • Currently reading a relevant degree with a mandatory or optional year in industry.
  • Developing skills in electronics design, with a focus or one or more of analogue circuit design, power supplies, FPGA.
  • Intermediate to expert on the Microsoft Office suite
  • A strong passion for the future of technology

Desired Skills:

  • Test and diagnostics of electronic circuits.
  • Background knowledge of the Nuclear Industry and the theory behind ionizing radiation is not a pre-requisite.
