Job Summary
Iron Mountain is seeking a highly motivated Critical Facilities Technician Intern to join our Data Centre team in Haarlem, providing hands-on technical and facility support in a 24x7 data center environment. This full-time shift role is an opportunity to learn the maintenance and oversight of critical electrical, HVAC, civil, and building management systems. You must be self-motivated, possess a strong desire to learn, and be dedicated to supporting your team and IMDC’s vision.
What You'll Do (Core Responsibilities)
- Assist senior technicians in performing limited maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the data center's heating and cooling systems and overall facility.
- Support the team in taking daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and inspecting buildings for unsafe or malfunctioning operation.
- Monitor and update assigned service tickets using a ticketing system, specifically tracking trouble tickets and assisting with customer installations of electrical and physical equipment.
- Learn and adhere to all safety procedures to ensure the safety of the environment and occupants, and proactively flag issues for resolution.
- Shadow senior staff to permit and monitor contract vendors, assisting in arranging access and documentation for internal works or for vendors.

- Experience Requirement: Enrollment in or recent graduation from a technical program (e.g., Electrical Engineering, HVAC, Facilities Management) is highly desirable.
