Job Description & Summary

Corporate Social Responsibility Intern

Contributing to Equality of Opportunity through our Community Program

Are you passionate about using your skills for the benefit of social enterprises and charities? Join PwC’s Community Program, where we leverage our expertise to create positive societal impact through pro bono projects. Here's your chance to be part of meaningful change while learning from a leading global service provider.

The Community Program is PwC’s initiative to create significant social impact by supporting impact-first organizations—such as social enterprises and NGOs—that prioritize societal value over profit. We do this by doing what we are good at: sharing our knowledge and skills. Our work centres around equitable access to opportunity, aiming to reduce inequality in a rapidly changing world shaped by AI, climate change, and economic shifts.

What you’ll work on

As an intern within the Community Program, you will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Project management: Assist in tracking project progress, preparing quarterly reports and maintaining administrative accuracy.

  • Communication: Serve as the first contact for internal communications with PwC teams and external stakeholders.

  • Meetings and events: Support in planning internal and external meetings, as well as organizing workshops and knowledge sessions.

  • Research and reporting: Support in gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to gain valuable insights that contribute to our projects and strategic decisions. With these findings you will prepare reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders, presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Strategic plans: Support in drafting project plans, coordinate activities, and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met.

About You

  • You are pursuing a higher professional or university degree in business administration, economics, organizational science, entrepreneurship, and/or sustainability;

  • You have an affinity for sustainability and social entrepreneurship;

  • You have gained experience in project management through your studies or work;

  • You are a good organizer and enjoy taking initiative, taking responsibility for your tasks and carrying them out from start to finish (with support and guidance);

  • You are analytical, results-oriented, and able to work independently;

  • You have a critical mindset and work accurately and efficiently;

  • You have experience working with Excel data files (using formulas, pivot tables, etc.);

  • Good written and spoken English; Dutch proficiency is a plus.

  • Available to work 4 days per week (32 hours) for a minimum of six months. 2 office days (Tuesday and Thursday) are mandatory and living in the Netherlands is mandatory.

What we offer

At PwC, you'll have the opportunity to be yourself, achieve your full potential in a high-performance organization, and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer, among other things:

  • A competitive internship compensation, travel allowance for those without a student travel product, a PwC laptop, and paid vacation;

  • A personalized internship program that emphasizes collaboration with colleagues and provides you with ongoing expert guidance to ensure your graduation internship is a success;

  • Access to a comprehensive learning environment where you can immerse yourself in various fields and meet your potential future employer;

  • The opportunity to develop your personal and business skills through our innovative courses and programs;

  • A unique opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes look at a leading professional services provider;

  • Hybrid working from home and in the office.
