Department Introduction

Micron’s ASIC Architecture team is focused on designing and developing advanced controller architectures that power next-generation memory and storage solutions. We collaborate across engineering teams to deliver high-performance, reliable, and efficient ASIC designs that meet the demands of ground breaking applications.

Position Overview

As an ASIC Architecture Intern, you will assist in the design and development of ASIC architecture, gaining hands-on experience with performance analysis, logic review, and architectural enhancements. This internship offers exposure to complex projects and multi-functional collaboration, providing a strong foundation for a career in semiconductor design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of ASIC architecture.
  • Analyze performance of controller components and subsystems.
  • Review functionality of implemented logic circuits.
  • Suggest improvements and enhancements to the controller architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Coursework in digital logic design, computer architecture, VLSI, or related subjects.
  • Knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Perl, Python, C, or Unix shell scripts.
  • Familiarity with HDL languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
  • Exposure to ASIC design workflows or prior internship experience in semiconductor design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$55.82 - $55.82

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.  The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
