Duties & Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Interim Human Resources Director at Viavi Solutions Inc. will be a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, HR compliance, and talent management. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive and productive work environment that aligns with Viavi's business objectives and values.

Job Responsibilities
 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations to support business growth and employee well-being.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and oversee the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.

  • Manage and mentor the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing department.

  • Lead change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication during organizational changes.

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Extensive progressive HR experience, with significant experience in a leadership or directorial role, preferably within a technology environment.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.

  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into practical HR solutions.

  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
