Job Summary: YOU WILL SERVE AS AN INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER/OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST IN COST AND SCHEDULE ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT, ACQUISITION COST ESTIMATING AND ANALYSIS DIVISION, ACE AND A MISSION SUPPORT OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major Duties:

  • You will provide Cost Department customers with cost products that are accurate, timely, and consistent and meet Cost Department quality standards.
  • You will perform analysis for systems in all phases of the life cycle (development, production, sustainment).
  • You will direct and lead the day-to-day operations of the team and perform analytical duties as required.
  • You will ensure cost estimating and analysis principles, processes, techniques, and tools are applied properly.
  • You will develop/conduct informal and formal training sessions for junior members of your immediate team.
  • You will review the work of others and provide coordination and critical insights into the progress.
  • You will fulfill all mandatory training requirements for continuous learning and professional development.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12/13 grade level or pay band DP-04 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER OR OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Utilizing in-depth working knowledge of air weapon systems and acquisition cost estimating, cost modeling, and cost analysis techniques for investigating, evaluating, and projecting the cost and/or economic impact of the acquisition and operation of new and improved air weapon systems or components; (2) Providing leadership for a complex program and associated acquisition cost team or similar integrated program team; (3) Conveying technical information, orally and in writing, to support analysis and review; (4) Applying good judgement and ingenuity in making innovative interpretations, adaptations, and modifications to accepted procedures, methods or techniques; (5) Functioning as a project lead, program manager, team lead, or team member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services; and (6) Providing assignments and training to junior team members in support of the customer while developing the skills and ability of the junior team members.
