Major Duties:

  • You will provide technical direction for the planning and conduct of concept and development of programs leading to the design, evaluation, production and deployment of the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile-Nuclear (SLCM-N) systems capabilities.
  • You will conceive, prepare and direct studies efforts to determine the requirements and planning for the development, deployment, quality assurance, and life cycle support of SLCM-N missile systems software, hardware, data, and support equipment.
  • You will receive contract proposals for technical review and provides recommendations on the proposal to the Branch head.
  • You will ensure that proposal are checked to see that operational and performance specifications will meet Program requirements within allocated budgets and schedules.
  • You will originate, review, and approve technical documents, such as: software design specifications/documentation, program plans, coordination drawings, schedules, and system, subsystem, and component design specifications/documentation.
  • You will effectively communicate across all aspects of multi-level weapon system/subsystem requirements and verification management related to safety, design, development, integration, modeling, demonstration, test, evaluation, and accreditation.
  • You will provides technical direction for the planning and conduct of concept and development of programs to include mission planning and/or fire control.

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: professional engineer performing systems testing, design, and/or evaluation to validate system requirements for a weapons systems program; planning for the development and life-cycle support of DoD weapons systems software, hardware, data and/or support equipment; and evaluating and reviewing cost, schedule, and performance aspects of DoD weapon systems lifecycle.
