Institutional Investment Operations Associate

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Associate

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational and customer support for lifecycle tasks for institutional trades

  • Assist with client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, asset servicing structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation and work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues

  • Assist in gathering data to support resolution of issues

  • Receive direction from manager and exercise judgment within defined parameters of the area while developing understanding of various functions, policies and procedures

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals


Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with investment industry practices and operational delivery experience in Financial Services

  • Excellent quantitative analysis skills

  • Analytic thinker with strong attention to detail

  • Prior experience in market data quality checks (desirable)

  • Good problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills

  • University degree or post-graduation degree

  • Experience in institutional Investment Banking of experience in institutional Investment Banking Operations, especially in data analytics, data integrity checks, and market data objects

  • Working knowledge of risk factors and market data objects

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under time constraints

  • Strong communication skills


Job Expectations:

  • Work closely with Middle Office LoBs in the US and broad Operations functions

  • Daily monitoring and remediation of Data Quality (DQ) issues

  • Review and remediate DQ issues on Market Data objects (data remediation)

  • Review and remediate DQ issues on Risk Factors (PFE, EMR)

  • Review and remediate DQ issues on instruments (taxonomy only)

  • Perform missing market data checks

  • Conduct staleness checks

  • Carry out level reasonableness checks

  • Execute outlier checks (Risk Factors only)
