The Airbnb Communications team helps drive earned visibility and cultural relevance for the brand, delivering thoughtful campaigns that support direct traffic and brand love. As part of our influencer function, you’ll work within a team that sits at the intersection of culture, content, and community – leading locally resonant, social-first campaigns that inspire and inform.
The Difference You will Make:
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and creative Influencer Manager to execute Airbnb’s influencer strategy in Mexico. In this role, you’ll localize regional priorities and deliver best-in-class campaigns that connect Airbnb to culturally relevant conversations and communities.
You’ll be responsible for managing day-to-day influencer execution: identifying and nurturing creator relationships, leading campaigns end-to-end, overseeing briefing and contracting, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders, and agency teams. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate and knowledgeable about the power of influencer marketing and knows how to translate brand objectives into content that is native, thumb-stopping and earns influence, not interrupts.
A Typical Day:
- Execute local influencer campaigns aligned to regional and global priorities, owning timelines, creative execution, and performance tracking
- Build and manage strong relationships with creators - from up-and-coming talent to seasoned partners - to ensure authentic storytelling and long-term brand advocacy
- Identify and vet influencers for brand and campaign fit across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, ensuring inclusive, culturally relevant casting
- Identify potential opportunities for collaboration with key opinion formers including policy, cultural and news influencers and third party validators and execute our new policy influencer program in Mexico
- Draft clear, strategic briefs that reflect campaign objectives, key messages, and content guidelines
- Partner with legal and agency teams to draft and negotiate influencer contracts, including deliverables, usage rights, paid media options, exclusivity, and payment
- Collaborate with internal teams (PR, policy, social, marketing, legal, and community) to ensure seamless campaign delivery
- Manage all logistics for influencer stays or experiences - including vetting, Host coordination, credit/coupon approvals
- Lead influencer onboarding and content reviews to ensure quality and alignment with Airbnb brand standards
- Track influencer performance, deliver regular updates to the regional team, and support the creation of end-of-campaign reports across all social channels (with support from agency)
- Work with the Marketing Affiliates team and regional influencer lead to align plans, avoid duplication of efforts, and maximize impact of our influencer campaigns
- Partner with the policy team and policy comms manager to ideate and create strong reputation building campaigns through relevant key opinion leaders and political and economic influencers and industry expert
- Stay plugged into culture and trends: bringing forward creator ideas, campaign hooks, and reactive opportunities in real time
- Monitor performance using tools such as CreatorIQ and Sprinklr; partner with agency to optimize campaigns accordingly
Your Expertise:
- 5–7 years of experience in influencer marketing, talent partnerships, or social-first content strategy
- A deep understanding of the creator landscape in Mexico and strong instincts on what content resonates and why
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end influencer campaigns: from sourcing and briefing to contracting and performance analysis
- Experience working with social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
- Confident managing external agencies and multiple stakeholders across legal, marketing, and comms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience writing briefs and reviewing content
- Comfortable with creator negotiations, including deliverables, usage rights, and paid media
- Familiarity with influencer marketing tools (CreatorIQ, Sprinklr or similar) and reporting best practices
- Able to juggle multiple campaigns, creators, and deliverables at once while maintaining high attention to detail
- Passion for storytelling, digital culture, and brand building through the creator economy
Your Location:
Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will need to be based in Mexico City, Mexico to be able to conduct their work. If your position is employed by another Airbnb entity, your recruiter will inform you what states you are eligible to work from.
