JOB SUMMARY:

The Industrial Program Services Superintendent provides leadership and oversight for process maintenance programs supporting clients in the mining, oil & gas, and heavy industrial sectors. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of maintenance projects involving piping systems, conveyor belt services, and overall process maintenance. The Superintendent will manage field crews, coordinate project schedules and resources, and foster strong client relationships while upholding company standards and regulatory compliance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of process maintenance activities across multiple industrial client sites.
  • Lead field crews that perform piping, conveyor belt, and general process maintenance services, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor work schedules, project plans, and resource allocations in alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
  • Act as the primary liaison between field operations and clients, providing progress updates, issue resolution, and service excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Industrial Program Manager, engineering teams, and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources.
  • Monitor project performance, costs, and schedules; prepare regular reports and support budgetary accountability.
  • Drive a culture of safety by enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to enhance workforce capability, productivity, and engagement.
  • Identify process improvements, implement best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, industry regulations, and Brice company policies.
  • Work as a “team player” with co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner.
  • Seek and participate in development and training opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

This position will supervise industrial field maintenance and foreman staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Advanced knowledge of the industrial, mining, and oil & gas construction industries and demonstrated ability to read and interpret contracts, proposals, and other related documents.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a collaborative approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective team relationships.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships, budgets, and project schedules effectively.
  • Ability to explain complex industrial systems in clear terms and offer clear and direct instruction to customers and crew working under supervision.
  • Ability to have an analytical approach to diagnosing issues and providing recommended solutions.
  • Ability to understand client challenges and provide tailored solutions.
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies, customer needs, and market demands.
  • Skilled in identifying, pursuing, and closing new business development opportunities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of process systems, piping, and conveyor belt maintenance.
  • Proven ability to lead crews, manage daily operations, and deliver high-quality work safely and efficiently.
  • Strong commitment to HSE leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivation and ability to be independent and proactive in pursuing goals in a remove environment with limited oversight.
  • Ability to do business ethically with customers, vendors, and co-workers. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to comply with and enforce standard policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work productively under pressure.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes (up to 60% of the time).
  • Ability to work in a Native Corporation multi-business environment.
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule sometimes including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline required; relevant trade certification or equivalent experience may be considered on a year-for-year basis.
  • Seven (7+) plus years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance or construction, with exposure to mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial environments required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a supervisory or superintendent role leading multi-disciplinary crews required.
  • Valid state driver’s license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Company’s Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screening.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Brice Equipment has a fast-paced multi-tasking office environment requiring a high degree of efficient and effective performance. This is a site-based role requiring frequent presence at client facilities in mining, oil & gas, or industrial settings both indoor and outdoor at times. The position may require extended shifts, rotational schedules, and travel depending on project scope and location. This position will be exposed to heavy industrial environments with strict adherence to safety standards. Adaptability regarding schedule and design changes, and occasional overtime for immediate field support or bid processing may be necessary.
