This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, proactive administrator with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities to join our dynamic team in a collaborative, fast-paced, on-campus environment!

• Salary Package: From $86,087 per annum (HEW 5) plus 17% employer's superannuation contribution and annual leave loading
• Appointment Type: Full-time, continuing position
• Location: Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus (North Ryde)

THE ROLE

As the Operations and Testing Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting administration and operations of Macquarie University College, including English language test centre operations.

This varied role includes:

  • Providing administrative and operational support for teaching teams, projects, activities, and events

  • Processing payroll including timesheets and responding to related enquiries

  • Coordinating assessment materials, including preparation, printing and archiving of teaching/ learning resources and examinations

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support for IELTS/ PTE testing services, including test centre and online platform operations, venue preparation, client support, candidate data management, results processing, website maintenance and general operational requirements

  • Planning and implementing College engagement activities, managing budgets, maintaining records, stakeholder relationships, logistics and communications

  • Supporting the coordination and management of teaching and office facilities, resources, equipment and workspace requirements

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of administrative systems, processes and procedures

  • Performing other duties as required and appropriate to this classification

ABOUT YOU

As the successful candidate, you will be capable of establishing effective working relationships with staff at all levels. You will have the confidence and skills to problem-solve, learn new systems and processes as needed, and actively engage in the face-to-face everyday workings of the College.

You will have excellent time management skills, high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, and be highly skilled in the use of the Microsoft suite of products. You will be familiar with learning and teaching organisations and systems, and will be able to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.

Macquarie University College provides local and international students with alternative pathway programs to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees through our accelerated face-to-face learning model. The College delivers Foundation, Diplomas, UniReady and Masters Qualifying programs, English language programs, and operates the IELTS and Pearson Testing Centre on campus. Essential Selection Criteria

  • Degree and/or equivalent experience in business administration or similar discipline

  • Demonstrated organisational and office administration skills in fast-paced, high-volume education environments

  • Excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement abilities

  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

  • Excellence in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

  • Advanced computer proficiency including MS Office and experience with HR/finance systems

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Experience in higher education administration and/or English language testing (IELTS/ PTE) administration.
