HVAC Technician (Aetna Headquarters)

CVS Health is looking for a Licensed HVAC Technician to join our team at Aetna Corporate Headquarters, taking pride in ensuring our facilities operate at peak performance through your expertise in HVAC systems and safety.

In this role you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair and testing of a wide range of electrical or mechanical equipment. You will ensure safe workplace practices are followed at all times and drive safety awareness through leading by example. This includes predictive, preventive and proactive maintenance analysis. You will work to all codes and regulations while making equipment installations, adjustments and repairs in plant and office environments as well as assist outside contractors on major projects. This position requires a broad working knowledge of codes pertaining to your specific trade.

  • Maintain and repair HVAC equipment, including air handling units, boilers, chillers, and building automation systems.
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment and fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Diagnose and correct malfunctions in systems and components using test equipment.
  • Inspect equipment to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
  • Advise management on hazardous equipment conditions.
  • Test systems and wiring for safety and compatibility.
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, and order supplies as needed.
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install or repair equipment.
  • Provide assistance during emergencies by operating generators and critical infrastructure.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot equipment problems within company facilities.
  • Improve equipment reliability through maintenance analysis and procedures.
  • Participate in failure analysis and vulnerability studies.
  • Assist with inspection and maintenance of life safety systems.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state codes.
  • Stay current with professional and technical knowledge through ongoing education.
  • Be available for emergency situations such as storms or severe weather.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure ongoing system functionality.
  • Other duties or projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Trade license (D2 or S2)
  • 3+ years of experience in operations and maintenance of large commercial electrical or mechanical systems

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision and effectively complete multiple complicated tasks.
  • Demonstrated organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with operational safety requirements in a critical environment and ability to apply and follow procedures and requirements per regulatory bodies.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$21.10 - $44.99

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
