Major Duties:
Qualifications: BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field and 3+ years of related Human Resources experience OR an equivalent combination of Human Resources related education and experience. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Working knowledge of and ability to demonstrate a fundamental understanding of U.S employee relations theories, techniques, laws, regulations and policies. Ability to negotiate and apply techniques to resolve conflicts, advising and interacting with management and individuals in controversial, critical employee matters. Demonstrates the ability to effectively provide guidance and recommendations to employees, supervisors and senior management regarding varying and controversial employee/labor relations matters. Ability to gather facts and use effective, analytical, and evaluative methods to accurately assess information and make sound decisions. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing in order to successfully deliver classroom instruction to large audiences; conduct briefings; and prepare research reports. Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively, thereby reflecting an ability to plan, organize and carry out tasks having diverse and competing priorities. Knowledge of applying tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues, to include conducting objective analysis and fact finding; and exercising confidentiality and privacy. Skills in operating computer programs and applications to proficiently perform the duties of the position (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
